Tour Plan
Day 01 : Airport – Pinnawala – Dambulla Night stay in Dambulla
When you arrive at the Bandaranaike International Airport, our friendly driver will welcome you. You will immediately start your Sri Lanka adventure by driving to Pinnawala. Here you will visit the famous Elephant Orphanage. You will see many elephants of all sizes. The best time to visit is when the elephants go to the river for their daily bath. They love to play and splash water. It is a fun sight that will make you smile. After spending time with the elephants, you will drive to Dambulla and check in to your hotel. You can rest and get ready for the next day's adventures.
Day 02 : Dambulla – Sigiriya – Kandy Night stay in Kandy
After breakfast at your hotel, you will visit the mighty Sigiriya Lion Rock. This huge rock rises from the jungle. You can climb to the top. The climb takes about 30 to 45 minutes. Along the way, you will see ancient paintings and the giant lion paws carved into the rock. At the top, you will see the remains of a royal palace and enjoy a beautiful view of the green jungle below. It is a truly special place.
After climbing down, you will drive to the cultural city of Kandy. On the way, you can stop at a Spice Garden in Matale to learn about Sri Lankan spices. In Kandy, you will visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic. This is the most important Buddhist temple in Sri Lanka. It is a peaceful and holy place. In the evening, you can enjoy a traditional Kandyan Cultural Dance show with drummers, dancers, and fire performers. You will stay overnight in a hotel in Kandy.
Day 03 : Kandy – Colombo City Tour – Airport
After breakfast, you will leave the hills of Kandy and drive down to the capital city of Colombo. You will take a short city tour of Colombo. You will see a mix of old and new buildings. You will visit the Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple, a beautiful Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. You will also drive through busy streets, see the old lighthouse, and pass by colorful markets. You might have some time to buy last-minute souvenirs like tea or clothes.
After the city tour, our driver will take you to the Bandaranaike International Airport in time for your flight back home. Even with just a few days, you have seen some of the best parts of Sri Lanka. We hope you enjoyed your short visit and will come back for a longer stay someday.
